In my investigation of the contents of this Nature Valley Strawberry yogurt covered granola bar I discovered something that was very shocking. I like most people consider this to be a healthy snack, which is why I was surprised to find out that it contained high maltose corn syrup...the same as high fructose corn syrup. With this new information I redesigned the packaging to reveal everything about the product. Above is the image of my design.

This new, sustainable package design lets the consumer know that Nature Valley has crafted this perfect snack just for them.
For our Interdisciplinary Lab class we had the opportunity to redesign a classmate's packaging to make it more sustainable, or further expose its negative attributes. I decided to take Melany's plastic fruit box and provide an alternative made of 100% recycled card stock, the same size, be able to fill it all the way, and it would be more environmentally friendly due to its hourglass shape. - Manny
